Intro


The ability to assign Workflow Tasks to yourself or to any of your team-mates is now available in Voyager. 


You can set yourself up as the Assignee every time the workflow is started, or you can do it directly from the task.


By assigning the task to yourself, only you will receive the notifications related to that task, avoiding alerting your coworkers with non-wanted emails.


The Tasks page will keep showing the list of activities that belong to your group and will allow you to filter by the tasks assigned to you, if you turn the toggle at the top-left.



Assign tasks when starting the workflow


When clicking on Start New Workflow, a window will pop-up, asking if you want to set yourself as the workflow owner. This means that:

  • Tasks notifications for that workflow will be sent only to you
  • You will be set as assignee for all the tasks where your group has responsible permissions
  • You will be the assignee for all the tasks where your group has admin permissions
  • The task notifications will be directed to you (as Responsible, Viewer or Admin). If you unassign the task, all your group will be notified




Assign from the task


When the workflow has been already created, all the tasks will display the Assignee right below the Responsible Group name.


If no user has been nominated as the assignee yet, the task will display Unassigned.



To assign a task, just open the task box and click on the Assignee field, next to the Responsible and Viewer groups.



A dropdown will be displayed with all the users that can be nominated as the Assignee, you can pick yourself or any coworker that is included in the list.



Once you select an Assignee, their name will be linked to the task.


 

Monitor your assigned tasks


You can monitor your assigned tasks in the usual Tasks page.


A toggle button will appear in the page now, allowing you to filter only by the tasks that are assigned to you.
