This is a powerful new feature that will reduce repetitive work and accelerate your claims processing. You can now copy validated Statement of Fact (SOF) events between claims, eliminating the need to re-upload and re-parse the same document multiple times.
Say Goodbye to Repetitive Data Entry
This highly-requested enhancement allows you to build on your existing work. Once an SOF is validated in one claim, its events can be instantly leveraged in any other claim for the same port call, preserving all your hard work and ensuring consistency across related claims.
New & Streamlined Workflow
Step 1: Validate Once
Start by processing one claim as you normally would. Upload the SOF PDF, parse it, and validate all events. Your work here is now an investment for the next claim.
Step 2: Start a Related Claim
Navigate to the next related claim via the "Related" tab or the Claim Manager.
Step 3: Add the Existing SOF
If the new claim has no SOF, a window will automatically open to add one. If you close it, simply click the new "+SOF" button (which replaces the old "upload SOF" button at the top of the portcall page).
In the "Add SOF" popup, select the built-in filter for "SOFs from Related Claims" or "SOFs from all claims" to quickly find the correct, already-validated SOF. You can also search by SOF name, claim name, vessel, port, terminal, or berth.
NOTE: A single portcall cannot have PDFs with the same name. The numbers before the - (e.g. 2254 in the picture above) are not a part of the PDF name. They are just a reference number. If the text after the - is identical, the SOFs cannot be uploaded to the same portcall.
Step 4: Customize and Complete
The validated events will be copied over instantly! All that's left is to apply the specific laytime additions and deductions and details relevant to this claim.
That's it! Your time-consuming calculation is already done. Just review, apply claim-specific terms, and finalize.
NOTE: Only SOF events can be copied. It will not include manually created events or additions/ deductions.
