Feature: Claims Management
Available for: Demurrage claims with multiple vessels
Overview
Building on multi-vessel claims, you can now assign a specific owning vessel to each port call within a multi-vessel claim. This partitions the laytime calculation by vessel instead of treating the whole claim as a single pool — supporting transshipment and double-bottom scenarios.
How It Works
Each port call can be assigned one owning vessel, selected from the vessels already linked to the claim.
Port calls sharing the same owning vessel are calculated together as one laytime pool; port calls without an assigned vessel form their own pool
Time pills are hidden on port calls with an owning vessel assigned, since a single combined figure no longer applies
Barges are unaffected by this feature — all barges continue to participate in every port call as before
Getting Started
Open a claim with more than one vessel
Edit a port call and select the owning vessel (the dropdown is limited to vessels already on the claim)
Save — the laytime allocation updates to reflect the assignment
Planned Additions
Per-vessel demurrage rates and further refinements are planned for upcoming releases
Different charter party terms per vessel within a single claim are not yet supported
Only one vessel can own a given port call — no support yet for multiple vessels on a single port call (Transhipment)
