Feature Area: Claims Management

Impact: All users managing demurrage claims

Overview

This release builds on the Configurable Mandatory Fields feature introduced in May, incorporating feedback from the team to expand the available fields, improve default configurations, and refine the settlement modal's behavior.

What's New

Assignee Added as a Configurable Mandatory Field

Assignee is now available as a configurable mandatory field in the settlement modal. It was not included in the original release and was a top piece of feedback from the team.

Default Mandatory Fields for New Companies

When a new company is created in Voyager, the following fields are now automatically pre-configured as mandatory for settlement — no manual setup required:

  • Vessel

  • Assignee

  • Counterparty

  • Counterparty Type

  • Account Type

  • Counterparty Amount

  • Counterparty Received Amount

These defaults can be adjusted at any time in Company Settings.

Settled Amount Displayed at Claim Level

The Settled Amount field now appears at the claim level within the settlement modal, consistent with how other claim-level fields are presented. Previously it appeared in the top tab area, which was inconsistent.

Unsaved Changes Warning

If you begin filling in settlement fields and attempt to close the modal before confirming, a warning now appears:

"Are you sure? Your unsaved changes will be lost."

This prevents data from being accidentally discarded.

Additional UI Fixes

  • The Amount Settled Source dropdown has been moved to the bottom of the settlement modal for a more logical field order

  • If Counterparty Calculation is null, it no longer displays as 0 in the comparison view, and it is excluded from the Amount Settled Source dropdown options

  • The mandatory field asterisk (*) now appears next to Amount Settled as expected
